Historic Center
The historic center of Paraty takes us on a visit to the past, with its colonial townhouses with white walls and colorful details and the cobbled streets with irregular stones reminding us at all times of the past in which slaves were present. And it is in this scenario that life happens, in the center access is exclusively for pedestrians and we find the most varied options of restaurants, bistros and bars, many of them with outdoor tables that have exclusive menus and live music.
Waterfalls and Alambiques
For its traditional cachaça, Paraty houses several stills open to the public where we can learn about the entire production process, in addition to tasting the products that are available for sale.
In this same itinerary, we visit some of the main waterfalls in the region, among them Poço da Usina, Cachoeira Pedra Branca, Cachoeira do Tobogã and Poço do Tarzan, aboard a 4X4 jeep to make the tour even more interesting.
Beaches and Island
The city has two beaches close to the historic center, Praia do Pontal and Praia do Jabaquara, both with many options of kiosks and live music. At the tourist pier, we find many vessels between small boats and large schooners that offer tours through the most varied beaches and islands, and may have a schedule and itinerary established or hired for exclusive tours.
On the Rio Santos road towards São Paulo we have Trindade is approximately 20 km from the center, and offers us four beaches and a natural pool, the Cachadaco. And we also have Paraty Mirim.
